Halloween - crafts for Kids Halloween project - project Paper Mache Jack or ' Lantern

Make a Jack lantern or ' from a large orange pumpkin is the usual Halloween craft project but perhaps you live in a country that does not have pumpkins on October 31. Here is your solution and though as a crafts for children to participate in a dream project of Halloween and great idea, it is better to have an adult to help and to monitor.

What is needed is a big ball round, newspaper and papier-mâché (paper mache) pasta made by mixing one part of flour and five parts of water and boil the mixture for three minutes with a little salt to prevent mold. Also needs to paint in colors orange and green and Brown a little accent. For the pumpkin stem cut about an inch from the end of a core of toilet roll.

Fly the balloon and tie with a long piece of string. Cut the paper into two-inch strips and dip the pasta. Cover the globe with the strips of paper, build a good few layers to maintain strong 'pumpkin'. Bumps and lumps are more authentic. Remember to make a part flat of the flashlight to present. Hang your boat dry remember placing something low to detect any faded pasta. Once dry gently penetrate flashlight with a needle to deflate the balloon. The core of toilet roll can be connected to the flashlight with pulp and paper more to a stem.

With a sharp knife cut eyes and mouth in its Lantern. Children have fun painting look like a large orange pumpkin Jack or ' Lantern. Paint the Green stem. His paper mache Jack or ' Lantern is ready for its light. It's role should not use candles but a small torch will do very well.

Happy and fun with this craft for Halloween children "boos" project.
